Student Comments
Working with Christie Harrington over the past five years has been a wonderful experience. Christie has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the voice. This, combined with her superior musicianship and extensive experience as both an artist and teacher, allows her to assess and assist her students in a holistic way. I have gained so much, in terms of technical ability, ease of singing, and confidence in performance, and I look forward to my lessons each week. Thank you, Christie!

I have worked with several voice teachers, but no one has been as effective in building my voice and my confidence as Christie has. She took the time to get to know my voice before determining in which vocal range I should sing. Once we committed to the range we thought best, Christie has worked diligently to expand my range, to build a whole-body vocal support system and to help me understand what works best for my voice. Working with Christie is always enjoyable, affirming and positive. She also has a wide knowledge of repertoire and suggests appropriate (and appropriately challenging) pieces that keep the experience fresh.

Christie Harrington has been a gift to me and other vocalists I know. She has a unique ability to motivate singers with her extensive knowledge of voice and repertoire, her positive spirit and remarkable understanding of what can get in the way of performing. I’ve worked with her for over 10 years and she’s taken me from a shy, choral alto to a soloist with nearly a 4 octave range. Brava Christie!!!

Christie’s experience and deep knowledge of vocal training and music making is rivaled only by her wonderful spirit, humor and endless patience for any level of student.
No matter the piece or progress made, we always leave class uplifted.
